“I know that after difficult experiences, we can feel as though we have to wear a mask. We wear this mask as we move through the world both in the presence of others as well as when we are alone with ourselves. My goal is for my clients to feel safe to take off the mask. In an environment of safety and trust, we can hold space for all that has been avoided or covered up by the mask, including previous experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This is the place of true transparency, being in connection with our authentic selves. In this place, my authentic self will greet you there with warmth and a toolbox full of empirically supported treatments.”
